PULLIMAN....(spotted deer)

   SPOTTED DEER



The chital or spotted deer is the most beautiful among the deer's.it is the most commonly found member of the dear family in India.they are mostly found in large herds of 30-50 females with a few stags.
they grow to a height of approximately 90cm at shoulders and can weigh up to 85 kg.their life expectancy ranges from 20-30 years.despite being one of the favourite pray specious of predators such as tigers and leopards they give birth to a single fawn at a time.A male spotted deer can sometimes grow handsome antlers up to 80cm in length.they are very nervous animals and are always on the look out for any approaching danger
